Gilbert Takes 2nd In British Championships

Josh Gilbert Bridgestone MX2

Honda Adventure Centre’s rising star Josh Gilbert has had an incredible first season with Bridgestone, taking the MX2 title in both the British Masters and MX Nationals.

Heading into the final round of the British Championships at Lyng, Josh also had his eyes on another championship crown, with a mere 14 points separating him from series leader Conrad Mewse, and Mel Pocock also a single point behind him.

Things started well for Josh, as Mewse had to settle for 4th place in the opening moto behind both his rivals, as Kiwi wildcard Dylan Walsh took an impressive victory.

However, a victory for Mewse in race two, followed closely by Josh, was enough to ensure the Honda man could do no better than 2nd place – still a hugely impressive performance from the young rider.

This season Josh has been riding on the acclaimed Bridgestone Battlecross range, which is exclusively distributed to the UK trade by Cambrian Tyres.

The range currently includes the following options:

Next year will also see the introduction of the Battlecross E50 for both enduro competition use and green laning.
