And the winner is… Pirelli!
That’s right, if you’ve picked up a copy of this week’s Motorcycle News, you’ll have noticed that it is awards season once again!
Included in those awards is the annual ‘Tyre of the Year’ which has been presented to the Italian manufacturer for their impressive new Diablo Rosso Corsa II.
Pirelli’s latest offering uses technology directly derived from the World SBK series, and includes their first ever multi-compound front tyre, along with a tri-compound rear with the softest rubber at the very edge of the tyre for maximum cornering grip.
Now the official tyre of California Superbike School in the UK, it is aimed at riders who demand high levels of outright grip both on road and track.
In their latest issue, MCN commented:
