It’s an exciting time for Michelin in the motocross world right now, with the launch of the new Starcross 5 range which is now available in a number of sizes and terrain options!
With that in mind, the manufacturer has decided to continue their support for the MX Nationals by remaining as title sponsor in 2016.
James Dimmock, Michelin Marketing Manager, commented: “It was a no-brainer for us to continue working with Paul and the MX Nationals team in 2016. 2015 saw the introduction of the Michelin Cup, and was won by Graeme Irwin. It gives riders from all classes the chance to compete for a single title by awarding points based on individual race results, with the highest achiever gaining the trophy along with some other related prizes.
Next year the winner will receive a full sponsorship package from Michelin, including 12 rear tyres and 6 fronts.

With Michelin on board again for 2016, it really is going to be the best year yet.”
The Michelin MX Nationals 2016 will take places over the following 6 rounds:
- Round 1 – 5th & 6th March – Preston Docks
- Round 2 – 26th & 27th March – Wakes Colne
- Round 3 – 9th & 10th April – Landrake
- Round 4 – 23rd & 24th July – Canada Heights
- Round 5 – 13th & 14th August – TBA
- Round 6 – 3rd & 4th September – Hawkstone Park
