In the last hour Continental has launched it’s latest incarnation of the highly successful ContiRoadAttack 2, introducing the crowds at EICMA in Milan to the ContiRoadAttack 2 EVO.
Available in the UK from 2014, the EVO focuses on delivering even better performance in the wet, as well as delivering improved mileage thanks to a number of advancements including the use of a new compound.
In brief the tyre features:
- New, upgraded version of the popular ContiRoadAttack 2 sports-touring tyre but with a refined tread pattern design with a pronounced drainage function that cuts through water more effectively and increases rider feedback.
- In order to evacuate more water and aid rider safety in the rain, the front tyre now has 28.5% more grooved area than before and the rear increases by 33%.
- Higher content of silica in the compound delivers a noticeable improvement in wet grip.
- MultiGrip Technology compound design with more flexible tread shoulders and wear-resistant central area provide both superb corner grip and long tread life.
- Exemplary overall mileage performance thanks to a 14.7% deeper rear tyre tread than the ContiRoadAttack 2.
- Traction Skin’s micro-rough surface virtually eliminates the scrubbing-in process for greater rider safety on the new tyre.
- Outstanding handling properties with very good steering accuracy.
