Bridgestone & Sarolea Target TT Zero Podium

Sarolea TT Zero Bike 2015

After entering into a technical partnership with Belgian brand Sarolea in 2014, both Bridgestone and the motorcycle maker have their eyes on a TT Zero podium spot later this year.

Bridgestone delivered tyre support and technical advice to help the team with their SP7 electric superbike, with Sarolea finishing 4th on their debut appearance.

The Brussel’s show on Easter Sunday saw the Belgian firm unveil it’s 2015 spec SP7; a slimmer and lighter machine which will be equipped with the MotoGP derived Battlax V02 Racing Slicks, and both companies believe this improved package has got what it takes to be a front runner this year.

“This partnership gives Bridgestone an exciting opportunity to combine our MotoGP experience with our vision of sustainable mobility,” commented Jake Rønsholt, managing director of Bridgestone Europe’s consumer business unit. “The Saroléa superbike is blazing a trail for the new future of electric motorcycles and e-racing that will soon be with us.”

Available to the UK trade from Cambrian Tyres, the Battlax V02 Racing Slick was the fastest slick tyre in a 2014 Performance Bikes test. You can find out more about it here.
