Toni Bou is undoubtedly the greatest trials rider in history, but there’s no sign of the seemingly unbeatable Spaniard stopping yet!
This weekend the Repsol Honda rider, who uses Michelin trials tyres, took an important victory at the French trial which means that he has mathematically sealed the TrialGP World Championship title for the thirteenth time in a row, with one round still remaining.
The Repsol Honda Team rider was in a different class from the word go in France, and tackled the various long, steep sections with ease, accruing just nine marks in total. The win in France was Bou’s 111th in Trial World Championships, and he remains unbeaten since the Andorra trial in 2018 after taking victories in his last thirteen trials in the competition. He’ll be hoping to maintain his 100% record for this season when the championship makes it’s final stop in La Nucia in late September.
The Repsol Honda Team also secured the 2019 constructors title, making it 21 world championship titles for Montesa to date.
