Michelin’s brand new Anakee Adventure is billed as an 80/20 tyre, aimed at riders who spend most of their time on the tarmac, but who want something in reserve for when they do occasionally decide to venture off-road.
We’ve already had the chance to try them on the dirt for ourselves at the official dealer launch in Scotland, and they were certainly impressive during the various tests that Michelin had laid on for customers.
But how would they fair on a…. track?
Probably not something Michelin had even considered, but one dealer in the UK wanted to find out, so Joe from Ryder Automotive headed to the Nurburgring Nordschleife armed with a fresh set of tyres and his R1200 GS to find out!
Thankfully he filmed the result, and if you watch the video with the sound on, you’ll hear his pegs scraping – certainly not bad for an adventure bike tyre!
