Reigning FIM Endurance World Champions, FCC TSR Honda, are back to winning ways after a hard fought victory at the Oschersleben 8 Hour endurance in Germany at the weekend.
In the early stages, the eventual race winners found themselves locked in a 3-way battle for the lead with Team SRC Kawasaki and fellow Bridgestone supported squad Yamaha Austria (YART).
Eventually the two Bridgestone backed outfits would pull away from the Kawasaki team, but an engine failure for YART all-but sealed the win for FCC TSR Honda with Josh Hook, Freddy Foray and Mike Di Meglio taking to the top step of the podium once again.
This season hasn’t been without it’s troubles for the team, who now find themselves sitting 3rd overall in the championship, 23 points adrift of the series leaders – a gap they’re very unlikely to overhaul when the final round takes place at Suzuka later this year. YART currently sit fifth in the standings despite experiencing various technical difficulties, on 88 points.
However, one thing we do now about this team is that they won’t go down without a fight!
