Bridgestone Unveil Four New Tyres

Bridgestone EICMA 2017

If you’re keeping an eye on the big announcements from EICMA, you’ll not doubt have seen Bridgestone’s four brand new tyres which have just been unveiled to the world’s press.

However, if you missed them, here’s a quick run down of what you missed!

Battlax T31 Bridgestone

The new Battlax T31 takes over from the venerable T30 EVO at the top of Bridgestone’s sport touring range next year.

Expert chemists have revised the compound, which in conjunction with an innovative new tread pattern is said to increase rider confidence in all weather conditions. Improved dispersion of the silica used in the T31’s compound boosts grip levels in the cold and the wet.

Re-thinking the tread pattern also has another added benefit, as it provides increased tread block rigidity which in turn reduces braking distances.

All of this has been achieved without sacrificing the excellent durability of it’s predecessor.

Bridgestone will be producing a total of 22 sizes, including several ‘GT’ specification tyres for heavy touring bikes.

Bridgestone A41 adventure

Bridgestone’s Adventure A40 presented a huge leap forward for the manufacturer when it was released in 2015, and the new A41 Adventure promises to take things even further.

Just as with the new T31, Bridgestone have upgraded the performance of the A41 over it’s predecessor without sacrificing on mileage.

Water drainage has been improved courtesy of a revised tread pattern, which also improves tread-block rigidity for increased stability both in a straight line and when cornering.

A Mono-Spiral Belt construction allows Bridgestone to better control the deformation of the tyre at all angles of lean, optimising the contact patch for increased feel and confidence on the road.

A total of 16 sizes are set to be released, including a number of 17″ sizes incorporating those used on the likes of the Ducati Multistrada.

Bridgestone Battlax SC2

Last but not least the Japanese manufacturer has two new products for scooter riders!

The new Battlax SC2 and SC2 rain are both radials, aimed at the growing maxi-scooter market.

Using technology and experience gained from the production and testing of some of their latest big bike rubber, Bridgestone are confident that both these products will shine in the urban jungle.

Both tread patterns have been derived from the manufacturer’s latest sport touring and hypersport tyres, improving straight line stability, grip and all-weather performance for the everyday rider.

Again, no compromises have been made when it comes to durability, matching that of the original Battlax SC radials.
