Cumbrian supermoto racer Chris Hodgson has made it a year to remember, after wrapping up his second title of 2017 at the end of October.
Hodgson’s Michelin Championship and British Supermoto Championship titles bring his tally up to 14, making him a dominant force in the sport in the UK.
However, his final race weekend at Rockingham, a circuit he hasn’t raced at before, didn’t all go to plan
Sunday’s opener saw Chris wiped out on the opening corner, although he managed to recover to finish just behind title rival Matt Winstanley.
Thankfully he was able to set up a nail-biting finale after taking a close fought victory in the second.
Everyone held their breath on the sidelines in the final race when Chris let a strong lead slip late on, but he bravely held on to beat Winstanley over the line by the smallest of margins.

This year Chris has been using Michelin’s range of Power Supermoto and Supermoto Wet tyres, both of which are available to the UK motorcycle trade from Cambrian Tyres.
