Dunlop have a new adventure tyre coming to the UK next year, the TrailSmart Max!
The new TrailSmart Max takes over from the standard TrailSmart in a number of key sizes, building on it’s highly regarded grip in both wet and dry conditions.
Dunlop have employed the use of Rayon in the ply construction of this new tyre, which results in more precise handling and a more progressive behaviour in a wider range of conditions.
The construction of the front tyre has been enhanced, and combined with a revised profile it is said to massively improve durability.
Internal testing by Dunlop showed that the new 120/70 R19 was shown to perform for 64% longer than it’s predecessor on a BMW R1200 GS.
The new rear tyre now uses Dunlop’s Multi-Tread Technology, with a more durable centre compound for mileage and softer shoulders for better cornering grip.
Internal testing on a BMW R1200GS shows a 15% improvement in mileage on the rear tyre in comparison to it’s predecessor.
A revised Cross Groove Tread design uses a new silica rich compound which enhances the tyre’s wet weather performance.
Andy Marfleet, Marketing Manager, EMEA said that the TrailSmart Max represented a significant leap forward in the sector:

It will be available next year in the most popular ADV sizes.
