Bridgestone have an enviable record at the Suzuka 8 Hour, which every year sees a large number of local and factory supported teams enter alongside FIM Endurance World Championship regulars.
During this FIM EWC season, the Japanese tyre maker and former MotoGP supplier made it’s return to top level racing by announcing a partnership with two teams; FCC TSR Honda and the factory backed Yamaha Austria Racing Team. Both teams use Bridgestone’s off-the-shelf Battlax V02 Racing Slicks, whose MotoGP derived high performance has made them a winning formula for many club riders in the UK this year.
Bridgestone have been following the YART team across Europe and all the way to Japan, charting what has been a fascinating year of ups and downs in the open tyre series as part of their ‘Long Run’ mini series.
The fifth episode has just been released on Bridgestone’s Facebook page and it sees riders Marvin Fritz, Kohta Nozane and Broc Parkes facing an uphill battle to finish on a hotly contested podium to keep their slim hopes of championship glory alive.
