This weekend in the French city of Marseille, trials ace Toni Bou reached another milestone in his amazing career as he secured a 25th world championship title.
Bou, who rides on Michelin, was competing in the world X-Trial series for the Repsol Honda Team aboard his Montesa Cota 4RT machine.
The Spaniard started this year’s X-Trial campaign with victory in Budapest, followed by wins in Bilbao and Granada, although he did then have to settle for second in Barcelona.
The penultimate round at the Palais de Sport was Bou’s first opportunity to seal his thirteenth X-Trial victory in a row, his first coming in 2007.
With one event still to go, Bou is unlikely to take his foot off the gas, as he looks to cap off another spectacular championship win with victory in Andorra la Vella late next month.
Michelin’s Trial Comp and X-Light Comp range are both used by top riders at the highest levels of the sport of motorcycle trials riding, by riders like Toni Bou, Dougie Lampkin and Emma Bristow.
