Presenting the Diablo Rosso Corsa II – Pirelli’s first ever tri-compound motorcycle tyre.
Developed using technology directly taken from the FIM World Superbike Championship, it is a true reflection of Pirelli’s claim: “We sell what we race, we race what we sell.”
Intended for use on street-going performance bikes, the Rosso Corsa II offers fast warm-up times, excellent agility and high levels of outright grip – Pirelli say it combines racetrack performance with street versatility.
The front tyre uses a dual compound construction, with a softer rubber in the shoulder area for increased grip at lean.
On the rear compound, Pirelli have used three different compounds separated across five different zones.
They compounds become softer the further the bikes is leaned over, and combined with the slick shoulder area it once again boosts cornering grip.
In house testing also suggests that the Diablo Rosso Corsa II should last around 20% longer than it’s predecessor, while also offering a more consistent performance through it’s lifespan.
