Dunlop have been the sole supplier to Moto2 ever since it launched back in 2010, and the same applies to Moto3 which first appeared on our screens in 2012.
Their status as official tyre supplier has now been extended due to a three year deal with Dorna, which takes them up to the end of the 2020 season, during which time they will continue to promote their #ForeverForward campaign.
The 250cc and 125cc MotoGP classes have produced some household names that include Marc Marquez, Johann Zarco, Pol Espargaro and Maverick Vinales, proving their effectiveness in creating MotoGP front runners.
This announcement continues Dunlop’s long history in World Championship Motorcycle racing. Dunlop race tyres were used to win the first 500cc championship for motorcycles in 1949 by Les Graham on the AJS. In the 250cc GP category, Dunlop claimed 17 World Championships before it was replaced by Moto2.

We then apply the learnings to our award-winning tyres such as the Dunlop SportSmart MAX and the new SportSmart TT.”
