Passionate about everything motocross, Michelin will be working with some of the UK’s brightest young talents in 2016 – and have recently announced their line-up of supported riders for the upcoming season.
First up is Lewis Tombs who will be competing in the British Championship, Michelin MX Nationals and EMX250 Championship on the continent. A very promising young rider, Lewis is looking forward to having home support cheering him own at several rounds including at Lyng, Blaxhall and Wakes Colne.
Also riding on the famous French brand in 2016 are the six-rider line-up at Team Risk Racing Yamaha By ENJOY. Yet to be officially announced, their contingent of riders will be battling it out in the Irish Nationals, Ulster Championship, MCCNI Championship, as well as several rounds of the British Championship. Riders that will definitely make the team this year include Ulster Premier MX1 champion, Robert Hamilton, Ulster MX1 Semi Expert winner, Colin McGregor, 1st place Irish National MX1 Semi Expert, Kevin Traynor and James Mackrel who took second in the 2015 Ulster Championship MX2 class.

Voase won the British 35+ Championship in 2015 and is keen to test himself against the younger riders of the Acerbis Nationals this season. Ryan will also be taking part in the European Evo Championship riding a KX500 and will form part of Team England in the Nations Team Race at Farleigh Castle in September, having already helped the team to victory for the last two years.
Also sponsored in 2016 will be the Cab Screens Husqvarna team, who say that their biggest achievement of the year will be competing for the very first time in some of the MX World Championship rounds, pitting themselves against the best MX riders from acrossthe globe at the French and British GPs in June. Alongside their international commitments, the team will also be focused on racing in the Michelin MX Nationals and British Championship here in the UK.
As title sponsor to the MX Nationals in 2016 riders running Michelin tyres this year will also have access to Michelin Ride Days, with more details about this new initiative being revealed shortly.
With the launch of the new Starcross 5 in 2016, Michelin backed riders are sure to be running with the front of the pack this year in all championships.
