Avon Tyres have been closely watching the Manx GP action this week, as some of the top riders from around the world put their classic race product to the ultimate test on the mountain course.
The 500cc Classic TT is the one that everyone wants to win. Leaders at various stages included John McGuinness, Ryan Farquhar, Michael Rutter and Dan Cooper but it was Ian Lougher who took the victory on the Team Flitwick Paton from Dan Cooper on a Molnar Manx and Bruce Anstey on the McIntosh Man.
On the Tuesday Tom Jackson rode his Suzuki T20 to victory to claim the Phil Read Trophy for the top 250cc finisher, whilst Lee Johnston set a new lap record on his way to the 350cc victory. The races were due to take place on the Monday, but poor weather conditions led to a delay in the action much to the dismay of riders and spectators eager to see some racing.
