Bridgestone’s rising star of 2018 started his British Championship campaign in fine style at Culham last weekend, with a well earned double podium finish at the Oxfordshire track.
Riding his Battlecross shod Honda in the MX2 Pro class, Josh put on a fantastic show for spectators as he tried to bridge the gap to overall winner Conrad Mewse, while also fending off strong challenges from the likes of Mel Pocock in a highly competitive field.
Taking 2nd place overall, Josh is well position after round one, and next up it’s a trip to Kent and the fantastic Canada Heights later this month.
Elsewhere for Bridgestone, Vets ace Darren King took another 3 straight wins to maintain his 100% start to the season with Banbury Club, and Bill Moynes was unlucky to miss out on an overall win at Wildtracks in East Kent following a clutch problem in the third and final moto of the day.
Bill had taken two wins on his Yamaha earlier in the day, but was forced to settle for 4th in the final race after dropping right to the back of the field, meaning he took 2nd place overall.
Both Josh and Bill were hoping to contest the opening round of the MX Nationals this weekend at Lyng, but due to heavy rain that has now been moved to Preston Docks.
The Battlecross range is becoming increasingly popular in the UK following some serious investment from Bridgestone, who are now well and truly ‘Back in the Game’.
