The Kenda Trakmaster may only have arrived in the UK in the past couple of weeks, but this road-legal motocross tyre has been available in the USA for several years already.
A well-priced competitor to the likes of the Metzeler MC360 and Michelin Tracker, the Trakmaster has been flying out of our warehouse to dealers up and down the country, destined for fitment to dirt bikes of all shapes and sizes – they also make a great value motocross practice tyre!
The tall, durable tread blocks offer great grip on a wide variety of terrain from soft dirt to fire roads, while stiffened sidewalls improve straight line and cornering stability on the roads.
In the USA, popular dirt bike website enduro360.com tested a set of the Trakmaster tyres on their KTM 450xc, covering around 900 miles on the roads, sand and fire roads on Baja.
On the site, they had this to say after their test:
“First impressions on the tyres were very positive. For that matter, I cannot really find any fault with the rear. At 900 miles, it is pretty much used up, but I have not noticed any significant loss of performance as the knobs have worn down. So far, I have not encountered any situation where the Trackmaster rear suffered. Hard, soft, wet or dry, the tyre seems at home everywhere.
The wear has been very consistent. On the last ride, I just started to see a few tears in the tread. One thing that I have noticed is that the tyres, front and rear, seem to roll very smooth on the pavement. There is very little hopping or vibration, particularly from the front end.”

Did You Know...
All of Kenda's current 21-inch front motocross tyres are road legal.
That means you could combine a rear Trakmaster tyre with one of their other 21-inch motocross or enduro front tyres, depending on the terrain you're tackling to match your specific needs!
