Pirelli & Ducati have had a close working relationship for a long time now, and recently the two Italian companies further strengthened those ties with the announcement that the new 959 Panigale would be fitted with Diablo Rosso Corsa tyres as OE.
Ducati’s “supermid” has a larger capacity 955cc engine, and is more versatile than ever before. The 959 is fitted with the first Superquadro engine to have obtained Euro 4 type-approval, which includes a number of new innovations that have allowed Ducati to achieve a more impressive torque curve and increased maximum power.
The Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa,, which has been derived from the manufacturer’s time in World Superbikes, is a versatile hypersport tyre ideal for both road and track day use, and aimed at modern faired and naked sport bikes.
The new 959 Panigale takes a 120/70 ZR17 M/C (58W) TL front and 180/60 ZR17 M/C (75W) TL rear.
