British Sprint Enduro Championship Black Dog Woods

Riders Danny McCanney and Steve Holcombe both recorded victories last weekend in rounds nine and ten of the Enduro21.com ACU British Sprint Enduro Championship, powered by Husqvarna Motorcycles at Black Dog Woods.

Holcombe grabbed his debut Elite class victory by edging out McCanney to win round ten on the Sunday at the very well received new series venue. Black Dog woods was a real mix of woodland and stubble fields, and along with perfect weather conditions it kept riders on their toes all weekend.

In round nine, Beta’s Danny McCanney was the rider to beat in the Michelin Comp VI Elite class leading from the opening lap to finish where he left off last time out at Westwood.

He topped all but the final test of the day on Saturday to secure the podium top spot by a comfortable 53 seconds, with his brother Jamie coming in second.

Clearly enjoying his riding at Black Dog, Holcombe was on fire in round ten after taking 3rd the previous day. he was fifth at the end of the first lap, but topped the next three tests to take the lead soon after. Going on to win the final test he held off a challenge from Saturday’s winner Danny McCanney to top the podium on his KTM.
