This week, manufacturers from around the world are unveiling their latest 2015 machines to the public, and Bridgestone have secured the original equipment deals on what are arguably some of the most impressive bikes at the show.
The 2015 BMW S1000R, with it’s impressive array of electronics and 199bhp, will be utilising the new Battlax S20 EVO, which offers more grip and more mileage than the mutli-award winning Battlax S20. It’s already topped a leading independent hypersport tyre test, and BMW we’re certainly impressed enough to fit it to their latest road and track weapon.
By far the most highly anticipated bike at Intermot 2014, thanks in part some an excellent marketing campaign by Kawasaki in the build up to the show, is the new Ninja H2R, described as a carbon clad cruise missle. The bike features a whopping 300bhp thanks to the addition a supercharger, and to handle this kind of power they have selected the Battlax V01 Racing Slick. If they can handle the kind of abuse shown in this video, then we think that the soft compound front and medium rear will be more than up to the job.
Another new announcement for 2015 from Kawasaki is a revamp of the Versys 1000, which will be fitted with the hugely popular Battlax T30 sport touring tyres, as used by Ron Haslam Race School on all their track bikes. That’s right, we said sport touring tyres, on track bikes… Check out Ron’s test video. The new Kawasaki will use an F spec version.
