After just missing out on a win at the grueling 24 Hour of Le Mans, the Bridgestone supported YART Yamaha Official EWC Team are aiming to go one better in Germany on 20th May.
“Bridgestone tyres gave us the pace and consistency we needed at Le Mans. We’ll see at the official practice sessions next week, but we confidently expect to be right up there setting the pace at Oschersleben,” said Mandy Kainz, Team Manager for YART Yamaha Official EWC Team.
Bridgestone announce their return to top-tier motorcycle racing back in February working with both the YART squad and F.C.C. TSR Honda.
Following this announcement, further teams have decided to compete using Bridgestone’s off-the-shelf Battlax racing tyres this season including Rabid Transit and the AMSS – TRB VIDRA Team
In total the FIM Endurance World Championship season consists of five races with two in France and the remaining three in Germany, Slovakia, and Japan. The 8 Hours of Oschersleben is the third race of the current season, which began in September 2016 and will end with the famous Suzuka 8 Hours endurance race at Japan’s Suzuka Circuit on 30 July 2017. Bridgestone have dominated the Suzuka round, winning every race for more than a decade on home soil.
The 2nd episode of Bridgestone’s new mini-series charting the life of an endurance team has been released today.
