Bridgestone A41 Selected For New BMW R1250GS

BMW R1250GS Bridgestone A41

It’s more than a decade since BMW launched their world beating Bavarian adventurer, the R1200GS.

Since then, it has been a firm favourite in the adventure sport market, so when the German firm dropped the news of their latest R1250GS, it goes without saying that it caused some real excitement.

The new model now produces a claimed 134bhp from the 1254cc twin engine, and the new colour TFT dash can give you access to a variety of riding modes, including a ‘Pro’ package optional extra for those who feel they need it.

Naturally, the BMW stand at the annual EICMA Show in Milan drew huge crowds of riders, all keen to get a closer look at this latest iteration of their popular adventure machine.

Bridgestone Battlax Adventure A41

One of the machines on the stand was fitted with Bridgestone’s latest adventure sport tyre, the Battlax Adventure A41.

Soon after it’s launch in the spring of 2018, the tyre was approved by BMW as an original equipment fitment for the outgoing R1200GS range.

Since then, it has also been confirmed as one of the OE fitments on the new R1250GS too.

We’ve had the pleasure of testing them in the sunny Moroccan mountains, and on the wet roads here in Mid Wales.

They are an impressive package, and a perfect option for road going ADV machines.
