The new MT-09 Tracer from Yamaha has found it’s way into the hands of Andy Downes, Senior Reporter at Motorcycle News who is running it as a long term test bike this year.
In the 22nd July 2015 issue of Motorcycle News, Andy takes the Yamaha, laden with camping gear, on a near 800-mile round trip to go star gazing for the night in Dumfries and Galloway, Southern Scotland.
For the trip, Andy decided to fit the new Bridgestone Battlax T30 EVO sport touring tyre – with their increased wet grip, which was recently rated as the best across a range of leading sport touring tyres in an independent Motorrad test.

“The new Bridgestone T30 EVO tyres have transformed the handling compared to the standard Dunlops. Even fully loaded, the Tracer remained agile and made covering nearly 800 miles in two days fun and exciting.”
With the tyres also promising excellent tread life, Andy has got a bit more riding to do yet before he concludes his test, so we’ll keep you updated!
