Launched in 2014, the new Battlecross range marks a new era in Bridgestone’s involvement with motocross.
The Battlecross range features a number of new technologies, to provide motocross riders with race winning performance. Asymmetric tread blocks provide high stability and cornering grip, as well as increased stability under braking. Their new Castle Block technology also provides more consistent levels of grip over changing surfaces.
Bridgestone have also incorporated Cooling Fins, which are derived from run flat car tyres. This modified technology helps to control tyre temperature, limiting tyre deformation and providing greater consistency.
This year two Battlecross tyres have been introduced:
- Battlecross X40 – Medium to hard terrain.
- Battlecross X30 – Medium terrain.
On Thursday 19th February 2015, Bridgestone have organised a superb event in conjunction with the Mick Extance Experience at the Apex MotoX Track near Worcester, where you can come along and give their latest tyres a try on one of four bikes supplied by Mick Extance.
They are also expecting two special MotoX celebrities, along with their sponsored UK riders Rob Yates and Jack Timms!
