This Friday in conjunction with our local branch of the Stonegate pub company we will be helping to organise a ride out from Varsity in Aberystwyth to The Imperial in Hereford. Cambrian Tyres are proud to be able to lend their support to the Aberystwyth leg of the BBPT charity tour, which sees the various branches of the Stonegate pub company around the UK find innovative ways to transport a ‘Pledge Passport’ from one pub to the next in order to help meet their £100,000 fund raising target in just 124 days for children’s charity Variety. Riders are welcome to attend the open event, which will be leaving Varsity in Aberystwyth at approximately 11:30am on Friday 6th June, and the pledge passport must be in Hereford by 3pm. We ask that riders meet outside Varsity (The White Horse) for 11am, and refreshments will be available upon arrival in Hereford at The Imperial for those who take part.
The proposed route will take riders out of Aberystwyth on the A44 to Llangurig, before moving on to Rhayader, Crossgates and Kington before finally arriving in Hereford and should take around two hours depending on the traffic.
We are also pleased to be able help in supporting the Variety Charity Night which starts at 7pm this Thursday in Varsity with an 80’s rock fancy dress theme along with live music, a charity raffle and the possibility of our very own Owen Phillips on karaoke. If they manage to raise enough money on the night, we promise to keep him away from the mic….
