Due to hit the UK market in April, Bridgestone will be introducing 3 further sizes to the new Battlax S20 Evo product range.
The new H rated sizes will cater for 125cc to 500cc bikes, and will initially be launched in Japan on 10th March before they make their way to the UK.
When introducing the Evo version Bridgestone announced that ‘the best just got even better’ which in many ways is true. The Battlax S20 Evo offers a number of improvements over the original Battlax S20, which has already come top of the Motorrad product test for hypersport tyres in 2012 and 2013, in a test which is widely regarded as the most thorough motorcycle tyre test available. Praise indeed for the original version!
In testing in sizes 120/70 ZR17 and 190/55 ZR17 on a Yamaha FZ1 The Battlax S20 Evo delivered 22% more mileage than its predecessor on the rear tyre, whilst also providing additional rear traction, and extra feedback when cornering from the front.
The new sizes due in April are as follows:
- 110/70 R17 M/C 54H TL – Front
- 140/70 R17 M/C 66H TL – Rear
- 150/60 R17 M/C 66H TL – Rear
These additions will compliment the current sizes in the range:
- 120/70 ZR17 M/C (58W) TL – Front
- 180/55 ZR17 M/C (73W) TL – Rear
- 190/50 ZR17 M/C (73W) TL – Rear
- 190/55 ZR17 M/C (75W) TL – Rear
- 200/55 ZR17 M/C (78W) TL – Rear
