
There’s a growing market for adventure bike tyres that can deliver a reasonable degree of off-road performance, without over-compromising on their on-road handling and mileage.
Arguably Continental were the first top stop this opportunity with their TKC 70 that launched in 2014, and since then several other manufacturers have also joined the party.
One of those brands is Metzeler, who brought their Karoo Street on to the market last year. Although far less chunky, the tread pattern bears a resemblance to their very off-road capable Karoo 3, and certainly looks aggressive enough to appear to adventure bike riders.
The initial launch was held in beautiful Sicily, where riders got to explore the boundaries of performance on the roads and numerous challenging trails which litter the slopes of Mount Etna.
