Bridgestone’s R&D team have been hard at work over the past couple of years, developing an 18 inch version of their popular Battlax R11 treaded race tyre for the classic endurance market.
Many, many miles have been covered during the testing process, and earlier this year the Japanese brand decided to go one step further by testing their prototype alongside a handful of selected team at the 4-Hour Spa Biker’s Classic endurance race in Belgium.
As starts go, this public debut couldn’t have gone much better for Bridgestone, with team partners Poweracing-Japauto and Roadrunner taking first and second place respectively in the Maxi Classic class.
Officially, this tyre is due out on the market early next year in two sizes, but in the meantime you can find out a little more about it in Bridgestone’s latest video, released earlier this week:
