Earlier this year, Bridgestone invited some of their top motocross dealers from the UK to Texas, for an unforgettable experience at the Texas Tornado Bootcamp.
Run by former US MotoGP rider Colin Edwards, the Bootcamp was a combination of riding, racing, shooting and much more besides!
Colin’s fleet of Yamaha bikes used for the training and racing all use a very odd combination of tyres – a Bridgestone BT45 on the rear, and an M23 motocross tyre on the front.
It’s certainly not a pairing that you’ll find in the official Bridgestone fitment guide, and in fact, you won’t even find the front tyre in the UK!
The M23 is an older design hard terrain motocross front tyre, which continues to prove popular in the USA where it seems to suit their blue groove conditions very well.
In the UK, the more modern Battlecross X40 medium-hard terrain is available, but we simply don’t get blue groove in this country.
Also invited along to Camp Colin were the guys from 44Teeth, who have just released some epic coverage shot over several days at the event to give you a flavour of what it’s all about!
