Wigg & Lampkin On The Podium For Michelin At Scott Trial

Michelin Trials Tyre Wholesaler UKTaking place high above the North Yorkshire market town of Richmond, the Scott Time and Observation Trial sees more than 200 riders tackling a total of 70 hazards over the 80 mile distance.

The event has been running for over 100 years, and this years action took place under overcast skies, which only started to clear as riders reached the finish line.

Both in action at the event were Michelin sponsored riders Alexz Wigg and Dougie Lampkin, running on the acclaimed Trials X-Light Comp tyres.

After a tough and challenging event for both rider and machine, only a handful of points separated the top three, with Wigg and Lampkin taking 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

Lampkin was also judged to be best on observation, whilst Michelin rider Jack Price won the unde-21 class, and Emma Bristow or MRS Sherco finished as Best Lady Rider. Another Michelin rider, Sam Haslam, also finished in the top 10 overall, occupying 7th place.

Following his podium finish Alexz Wigg commented:

“This has always been a tough event for me, but one I very much enjoy. I started at a steady pace, before moving up a gear in my riding to try and push for the win in the closing stages. My Michelin X-Light tyres excelled today in some pretty tough conditions, meaning I didn’t have to deal with any punctures.”
