Recognised as one of the most renowned schools for professional racers, the famous VR46 Riders Academy will now equip their training fleet with Pirelli tyres. The Italian tyre maker has been chosen to be the academy’s technical partner and tyre supplier for several of their team’s activities. The agreement will see Pirelli provide pupils with a range of tyres for road bikes, motocross and E-MTBs.
The aim of the VR46 Riders Academy is to help young Italian motorcyclists on their journey towards a two wheeled racing career. The knowledgeable staff who support the VR46 Riders Academy are the same who support Valentino Rossi in his own races, so every piece of advice and every decision is the result of their years of collective experience.
Riders at the academy will now get use of Pirelli tyres for a range of training activities from circuit sessions with road bikes, to off-road exercises using motocross bikes. For on circuit training the latest YZF-R1 and YZF-R6 motorcycles will now be fitted with Pirelli Diablo Superbike tyres in a range of different compounds. This is the same range that is used in the FIM Superbike World Championship. Thanks to the intense research and development by Pirelli engineers, the Diablo Superbike tyres have undergone a constant improvement in performance throughout the years.
For off-road training, the VR46 Riders Academy will rely on the performance of the Scorpion MX tyre family, which boasts seventy-four world titles in motocross among its many successes, and the Scorpion E-MTB product range dedicated to electric mountain bikes.
