Launched back in April of 2013 the Pirelli Angel GT was awarded the accolade of ‘Tyre Of The Year’ by Motorcycle News this September.
The product has proved to be a real hit in the UK Sport Touring market due to a number of factors including:
- Class leading mileage
- High safety feeling in the wet
- Pirelli sporty DNA
Earlier in 2013 the independent Motorrad Test Centre in Germany tested a range of Sport Touring tyres at its facility and declared that the Angel GT delivered the highest mileage of all the products it tested.
At the time of it’s launch on the deck of Europe’s largest aircraft carrier motorcycle journalists from around the world got the opportunity to put the tyre through it’s paces at the Nardo handling track in the south of Italy.
Many of those that tested the tyre at launch were said to have been impressed by the amount of outright grip demonstrated from a tyre with such a high level of durability, which is why the tyre is denoted Gran Turismo.
As well as winning the ‘Tyre Of The Year’ the Angel GT has also been nominated as best in it’s class by a number of publications including Moto Journal and Motorrad Magazin.
