Italy Team Metzeler riders
The 95th edition of the International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) took place in the Oltrepò pavese area and in the famous enduro land of Varzi. The enduro sees competing riders having to deal with nine gruelling tests characterised by hard, stony and extremely dusty terrain. These nine tests are spread out over the first five days, with routes almost 175 km long which can take around seven and a half hours.
This year saw Metzeler as one of the ISDE’S technical partner. Over half of the riders who took part in this year’s event raced on Metzeler tyres.
Metzeler celebrates the victory in the World Trophy of the Italian National with the riders Andrea Verona, Thomas Oldrati and Davide Guarneri. The three official Metzeler riders ran Metzeler MCE 6 Days Extreme, which saw them being some of the fastest riders in the race.
Josep Garcia, one of Metzeler’s riders who was equipped with Metzeler MCE 6 Days Extreme, was the fastest rider of the ISDE, his fantastic result contributed to the Spanish national team’s second place in the World Trophy.
Albin Norrbin, official rider of the Fantic Darpa Racing Team led his Swedish national team to a third place finish in the Junior class on Metzeler MCE 6 Days Extreme.
In the Club categories the official Fantic riders Kevin Cristino, Daniele Del Bono and Riccardo Fabris with Team Italia 2 took the start. In the C1 individual ranking Kevin Cristino of the Fantic Darpa Racing Team ended his Six Days in second position while Riccardo Fabris of Fantic JET Racing Team entered in the Top Ten, always in C1.
