Swedish motorcycle marque Husqvarna have chosen the Metzeler MCE 6 Days Extreme as the original equipment fitment on their 2017 range of enduro machines.
Unveiled in Sweden, the hotly anticipated two & four-stroke models will all use the 90/90 – 21 M/C 54M M+S front along with the 120/90 – 18 M/C 65M M+S or 140/80 – 18 M/C 70M+S rear from Metzeler’s range.
Metzeler’s flagship enduro tyre has won a total of 26 titles in the FIM Enduro World Championship over 12 years, along with 8 consecutive championships in the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship.
The tyre has been constantly updated over the years in order to improve performance over a wide range of tough terrain, and it will certainly allow riders to make the most of these powerful machines.

The latest round of updates include a high-performance carbon black to strengthen tread blocks and improve stability, whilst the latest generation of polymers make it more resistant to abrasion, cuts and tearing. The tough carcass improves structural stability, whilst giving the rider greater control over their bike in all conditions. The contact patch on the rear has been optimised to offer excellent traction and high levels of durability at all angles of lean.
Metzeler even offer ‘Soft’ and ‘Hard’ options in specific sizes to better cope with certain types of terrain!
