Last weekend saw another action packed round of racing at Lower Drayton, with the season finale of the AMCA 2021 championship.
Reigning Weston Beach Race champion Ashley Greedy has kept a firm grasp on the red MX1 plate since the very first round of the year, and was determined to bring it home to Wales.
Riding on the Bridgestone shod LHRT Kawasaki, Ashley has been consistently at the sharp end of the action all season long with a number of overall victories and a string of podiums.
Heading into the final at Lower Drayton, Ashley held a 12-point lead in the MX1 class and despite an incident filled pair of motos on the Saturday, Ashley showed real grit on the Sunday as he took three wins to secure the championship after a superb season.
Bridgestone riders secured all of the top three championship spots this season with Ultimate Wheels Honda’s James Dodd finishing a close 2nd, and Luke Hawkins of Apex GasGas 3rd in the points standings.
In an drama filled 125cc class, Six10 Motorsport’s Brad Tranter narrowly missed out on the series victory, but he fought all the way to the chequered flag with a performance the whole team can be proud of.
