At Cambrian we like to think that we’re pretty up to date when it comes to tyre reviews, however, Superbike magazine sending ex-pro rider Ed Allingham to Austria to test Bridgestone’s range of Battlecross MX tyres last July seems to have slipped by us unnoticed – until now!
Held at the Red Bull Ring, Ed had plenty of opportunity to put the cutting edge Bridgestone’s through their paces on a variety of terrains including the:
- Battlecross X20 – Soft to Medium Terrain
- Battlecross X30 – Medium Terrain
- Battlecross X40 – Medium to Hard Terrain
After giving all of the tyres a thorough thrashing around one of the finest motocross tracks in Europe, Ed summed up by saying:
“Despite the amount of hammer the tyres were getting on a track I thought would be very hard on them there was surprisingly little wear which is a massive bonus – grip’s great but durability is also something you look for and the Bridgestone Battlecross range has both.”
You can see Ed in action and read his review in full on the official Superbike Magazine website.
