Billed as an urban sports tyre, the Dunlop RoadSport 2 is a new introduction to the UK market as of 2019, and is used as an original equipment option by a number of bike manufacturers.
One of those manufacturers is Suzuki, who opted to fit the RoadSport 2 to their re-born Katana which has proved itself to be a popular retro this year!
Designed to offer a good balance of performance and value, the RoadSport 2 offers a sportier ride than the similarly wallet friendly GPR-300 range with nimble, predictable handling and a fast warming compound.
The team at Bike Magazine have been lucky enough to have the new Katana on test for much of this year, and in their November issue they had this to say about the new Dunlop rubber:
“The RoadSport 2s are Dunlop’s newest sport touring tyre and they work well on the Katana – fast warm-up, stable on the brakes and reassuringly grippy at fast road speeds.
Good in the wet too. The only question mark is over longevity, as the rear has just started squaring off at 4,500 miles.”
