Dunlop Launch New Geomax MX-12

Geomax MX-12 Dunlop Sand tyre

Said to deliver a significant improvement in performance over the outgoing MX-11, Dunlop’s newly announced Geomax MX-12 is aiming to be your go-to-tyre for sandy or muddy conditions.

With many years of experience working within MXGP, Dunlop say this product includes three significant new design features across the tread and casing.

A new ‘V-Block’ technology has been shown to improve traction upon exiting corners and increases contact patch size for better braking stability.

The rear tyre uses their new ‘Progressive Cornering Block Technology’ which delivers improvements in cornering stability thanks to enhanced side grip and slide control.

Finally, the tyre casing has been completely redesigned to improve traction and shock absorption properties. Dunlop’s new ‘Carcass Tension Control Technology’ creates an enlarged diameter for an increased tyre footprint, which when combined with the outgoing MX-11’s macro-molecular polymer is said to increase durability.
