ContiTrailAttack test win

ContiTrailAttack07According to issue 11-2008 it’s official: ContiTrailAttack is currently the best tyre for enduros of the calibre of a BMW R 1200 GS or a Suzuki V-Strom!

In a benchmark test the TrailAttack secured top spot well ahead of its established competitors. The Conti tyre achieved top scores, particularly in the dry test and in the wear category, and won with 329 out of a possible 400 points. By way of comparison, the second placed Metzeler Tourance EXP scored just 299 points.

However, the Conti tyre not only performed well in safety categories such as braking deceleration where it required just 41 metres to stop from a speed of 100 km/h, equal to braking deceleration of 9.4 m/s2, but it also scored top marks in terms of best value.

Based on tyre wear, an important requirement for long-distance travellers who want to travel several thousand kilometres without tiresome and expensive tyre changes, the ContiTrailAttack came top with a calculated tyre life of 8,871 kilometres for the rear tyres and 12,927 kilometres for the front tyres.
