Bridgestone British Masters Battlecross Event Confirmed For September!

Despite the cancellation of this year’s Bridgestone British Masters series, organiser have confirmed that they will be holding a one off, two day event at Cusses Gorse this September with some amazing prizes on the line!

The two day Battlecross event, named in honour of Bridgestone’s championship winning motocross range, will see a whole host of adult and junior races, including the hugely popular Bob Lewis Trophy.

Pro riders will no doubt have their eyes on the prize, as the fastest MX1 and MX2 rider will come away with their own branded Toyota Hilux pick-up to use for a year.

The pick-ups are currently in the possession of Crescent Yamaha’s Jake Shipton in the MX1 class, and his former teammate Martin Barr who is now riding on the BRT KTM. As Martin has moved to the MX1 class, he’ll have to hand over they keys and look to come away with the MX1 win to keep one!

The event will include the following groups:
  • Junior 65cc
  • Small Wheel 85cc
  • Big Wheel 85cc
  • MXY2 Youth
  • 125cc
  • Clubman
  • Amateur MX1
  • Amateur MX2
  • Pro MX1
  • Pro MX2
All amateur classes will race on both days with qualifying and four races over the course of the weekend, with the Pro MX1 and Pro MX2 classes joining on Sunday with qualifying and three blocks of racing.
