The Avon Roadrider is an extremely popular Sport Mileage tyre, which comes in a wide range of sizes suitable for both modern and classic bikes.
The Roadrider’s large contact patch at all lean angles offers excellent grip on the road, and the tread design, including large central grooves help to resist ‘white-lining’ and improve rider safety.
In the 29th October 2014 edition of Motorcycle news, Senior Designer Simon Relph delighted classic fans by showing off his 1954 Velocette Venom, with signature fishtail exhaust.
Bought for the bargain price of just £2200, the bike is now worth somewhere between £9,000 and £11,000, proof that buying the right classic can be a great investment, as well as great fun.
Simon has fitted the Avon Roadrider to the bike, and says that they have “improved the cornering no end” whilst they still look right on the bike, which when it comes to classics, is just as important.
A comprehensive range of Avon Roadrider sizes are available to the UK trade from Cambrian Tyres, along with a number of other classic tyres from the British based manufacturer.
