Preparing for his first season in the 2015 British EVO Supersport series, Aussie rider Levi Day has been in action on Avon Roadrider race spec tyres at the AMCN International Island Classic.
The former British Superstock Championship contender won his 3rd Phil Irving Perpetual Trophy at the event, as well as the 350 and 500cc classic races.
Also running in the 500 Post Classic class was Tom Bramich, pictured above (credit to TAS PAPPAS) on the Ron Angel 1968 Paton BL3, also using Avon rubber. Day, also racing in that class, took 3rd spot on the podium, the two Avon riders split by New South Wales based rider Bob Marriner.
With results like this, it just goes to confirm Avon’s dominance across large swathes of the classic racing scene, which sees them used as a control tyre in the British Classic Road Racing series.
