Battlax S21 Tested On Kawasaki ZX-6R

Kawasaki ZX-6R road Tyre review

Bridgestone’s Battlax S21 is their do-it-all hypersport tyre.

The successor to the superb Battlax S20 EVO, they offer bags of dry grip, work great in the wet, and are suitable for fast road riding or even the occasional track day making them a very popular choice for a wide range of riders on sporty road bikes.

In this week’s issue of MCN, they’ve been giving their feedback after four months of riding on the Kawasaki ZX-6R.

Bridgestone Battlax S21 tyre reviewHere’s what test rider Dan Sutherland had to say:

“This is the first time that I have used a Bridgestone tyre and I was impressed.

The Battlax S21 is right at home on my ZX-6R and makes the perfect rubber for some swooping country road fun.

When they were first fitted I was a little apprehensive, as their profile encourages the bike to drop over on it’s side a little quicker than the more touring-oriented tyres I had previously used.

Once I got used to this character trait, the behavior of the bike became perfectly natural and 1500 miles later they still look new.”

With the days getting longer and the temperatures picking up, Dan will soon be more inclined to put plenty more miles on the tyres to see just how long they can last.
