After seven years away from motorcycle racing’s premier class, 2016 has proved to be a steep learning curve for Michelin, but we’ve also seen some very exciting racing and the French firm have adapted quickly to the challenge.
The tyre maker has a long and illustrious GP history, and in a new video their Motorsport team look back on this time, and tell the inside story of their first year back at the helm.

A successful test of next year’s proposed tyres at Valencia has already taken place, and riders will be in action again early next year at several pre-season events – but reports suggest that the intermediate option has now been dropped, in favour of more slick and full rain options in each rider’s allocation.
This decision was made following feedback from both riders and Michelin themselves.
