Tim Rothig is at it again….
Back in 2011, Tim Rothig, one of the quickest riders around the 20,832m long Nordschleife circuit in history, was tasked by Bridgestone and Kawasaki with putting in the fastest lap time he possibly could, on a near stock ZX-10R fitted with Battlax R10 Racing tyres and a gyroscopic camera. The original video, which you can see here, brought crowds to a standstill at Motorcycle Live later that year, as Tim put in a 7 minute 50 second lap, everyone in the packed hall taking in a deep breath and feeling the emotion as he rode that bike for all he was worth.
Roll on four years, and Tim is back – but now Kawasaki have a supercharger!
This time Tim has been out on the new Ninja H2, fitted with the technically less racy Battlax RS10 Racing Street tyres, a step down in Bridgestone’s range designed for fast road riding and occasional track day use.
