At the end of April, under sunny Portuguese skies, Bridgestone held the official launch of two of their latest high performance tyres:
- Battlax Adventure A40 – Adventure & Trail
- Battlax T30 EVO – Sport Touring
As the UK’s largest trade-only distributor of Bridgestone tyres, we sent along Operations Manager Owen Phillips to test out both new tyres, along with a number of other top industry dealers and journalists.
The new Battlax Adventure A40 offers increased wet and dry grip, as well as stability in the corners when compared with the ever popular Battle Wing. Riders were given the opportunity to test the bikes both on and off-road, putting the new rubber through it’s paces. With no rain to speak of the enhanced wet weather grip wasn’t tested, but the tyres were certainly very well received amongst those who attended the launch.
The Battlax T30 EVO offers upgraded sport touring performance, and Bridgestone have been working hard to improve the grip levels in both wet and dry that the tyre offers. The new Battlax T30 EVO features a new compound in the centre of the tyre, which widens the temperature range at which the tyre grips, for improved performance at both lower and higher temperatures. New lengthened tread grooves also shift water more effectively from around the contact patch to improve performance on wet roads.
