In the UK, Michelin have recently announced that they will be the title sponsor of the 2015 MX Nationals, with the series now being known as the Michelin MX Nationals.
The manufacturer has been involved with the series since the very beginning, and Michelin are more than keen to show their continuing support for the sport, and the impressive British MotoX scene in general.
The 2015 series already has some of the UK’s premier venues lined up, including the likes of Hawkstone Park and Canada Heights, and guarantees spectators and riders alike some explosive MX action. The Michelin UK team will be on site at every event, and will be offering riders technical support and advice.
Paul Irwin, Director of MX Nationals said “The team at MX Nationals are delighted to have Michelin as our title sponsor in 2015. We have always received a high level of support from Michelin over the years and certainly riders and spectators alike will not have failed to notice the 20 foot tall Michelin Man at each of this year’s rounds – we are certainly looking forward to welcoming him back for 2015!”
To celebrate the partnership, Michelin has also announced the introduction of the Michelin Cup, a competition for all riders competing in 2015. Any rider, regardless of class, will have the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes if they are riding on Michelin tyres. Points will be awarded per race, and at the end of the season the overall winner will be awarded the Michelin Cup. Whether you are an 85cc rider or a Pro, you are effectively up against one another, and consistent podium performances will see you in the fight for the title.

There will be a total of six rounds this year, with five venues already confirmed as follows:
- Preston Docks – 21st & 22nd March
- Foxhills – 11th & 12th April
- TBC – 16th & 17th May
- Culham – 30th & 31st May
- Hawkstone Park – 8th & 9th August
- Canada Heights – 19th & 20th September
