Michelin Unveils Three New Motorcycle Tyres at EICMA 2023

Michelin have unveiled THREE new motorcycle tyres at EICMA 2023 in Milan on November 7th.

Introducing the Power 6, Power GP2 and Anakee Road set for release in 2024, the three new tyres are what Michelin is calling a ‘major technical evolution’.

Michelin Power 6 – The everyday tyre combining fun and sportiness.

The Michelin Power 6 is an everyday tyre combining fun and sportiness. Aimed at a wide spectrum of sports motorcycle users, from the everyday riders to the thrill seekers. Michelin has promised that this tyre will deliver ‘pure riding pleasure’ and will be their new tyre of reference. Beyond its sporty performance, the tyre has been developed for increased wear resistance for the everyday and long-distance riders.

The Power 6 is suitable for motorcycles over 300cc and has already been homologated on the new 2024 KTM 390 Duke.  Available in a wide range of sizes (2 front and 8 rear).

Michelin Anakee Road – Road performance with a trail look.

Joining the Anakee Street, Wild and Adventure, the new Anakee Road has been designed for the ultimate road performance with the look of a trail tyre. For motorcyclists who prefer road to off-road and intended to be used on long distance trips as well as everyday travel. High levels of grip in wet and dry conditions, the ultimate stability and compound developed for wear resistance, to provide the rider with the highest tyre lifespan.

The Michelin Anakee Road will be available in for front and four rear sizes.

Michelin Power GP2 – Master of the racetracks, approved for the road.

Designed by the same team and developed by the same tools as the Moto GP tyres, this evolution of the Michelin Power GP range has been named the ‘Master of Racetracks’. The new tyre delivers an even higher level of grip on wet and dry surfaces compared to its predecessor, which was already the leading tyre in this category.

Aimed at owners of Hyper sports bikes, this tyre enters a new dimension. Riding precision amplifies track experience, allowing the most experienced riders to push their limits. Designed for track, approved for road use.

The Michelin Power GP2 will come in one front and five rear sizes.
